Hamby Cambutal – 3 Story Mountain House

Projects • Nov 22, 2024 8:59:52 AM • Written by: Jordi van Marion

In 2019, Gatun Lake Construction (GLC) built a multi-level home on a steep hill in Cambutal, Panama, using the innovative FRESH® Building System. The 30-degree slopes made traditional methods impractical, but FRESH®'s lightweight and modular design enabled successful construction. This three-story home features three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, and an open-plan kitchen with a large rooftop terrace, ideal for family living and entertaining.

Additional features include a carport, an outdoor shower, and a water treatment plant, ensuring convenience and sustainability. The covered outdoor living spaces offer panoramic views of Cambutal Bay, highlighting the FRESH® system's adaptability. This project was GLC's first using the FRESH® Building System after its approval by the Panama Building Code. The Cambutal Mountain Home exemplifies FRESH®'s ability to combine modern design, efficiency, and eco-friendliness in challenging terrains.
